Special Invitation The Men's Society 'Pro Ecclesia' is having a free topic on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 5th at 8:00 pm (postponed from December) and we are inviting other society members or interested members from the congregation to join us. We will be showing a video presentation by Dr. Joe Boot on the topic "The Priestly Calling of the Medical Profession". In just under an hour, Dr. Boot lays out the case for the biblical origins of Western medicine and its contributions to our current civilization. Don't be misled by the title; it's not just for people involved in the medical profession but for all of us who are 'consumers' of the medical system as we know it today. It also challenges us to take a fresh look at this whole area of healthcare and how we may need to respond differently in an age when the Christian foundations of our society are starting to crumble precipitously. After the presentation there will be a couple of formal responses to the presentation followed by a time for discussion. Prepare to be challenged - we hope for a good response.
