“Her Journey to a Life Rewritten” Event

Join us for an evening in which you will encounter the step by step process to freedom after slavery! As a church, we are hosting this interactive and engaging event which will inspire you to become a Champion for Freedom and support the work of the SA Foundation in providing restoration and new life for women and their children escaping sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
Now in its 30th year, Servants Anonymous is a Canadian-born, Christian ministry which has helped over 2,200 women and 500 children globally. Besides providing refuge and recovery through its frontline housing and day program, SAF provides parenting, life- and job- skills training, and is witness daily to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in the hearts and lives of the women and children in their care. They would like to share with our congregation more about what they do, both locally and globally, and how we can help.
Here is what one person has said about this event, reflecting what we are repeatedly hearing from those who attend: “I have been at three 'Her Journey to a Life Rewritten' events this year (two as a volunteer) and each time I was struck by the incredible power of these stories. These are brave women who have suffered greatly and are working hard to regain the life skills that they missed while they were growing up. They need to learn how to trust and love and give these gifts to their children too. They need a new community of support and this is what SA is doing. I am happy to support these supporters by volunteering, sending monthly donations, and buying and wearing the beautiful jewelry. Every time I am complimented on the jewelry, I tell the story of SA and the beautiful women who designed and made it. I am happy to be a Champion for Freedom!”
This event will take place, the Lord willing, on Friday, February 15, 2019. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program will be from 7:00-9:30 p.m. There is $10 cover charge to enjoy the delightful snacks and beverages.
